How can I contact a buyer?

Sellers cannot contact new Buyers. The only way to communicate with a Buyer is if an order is initiated, a "Conversation" thread is created and you will be able to communicate with the Buyer. You may also contact the Buyer if the Buyer contacts you first. Note: If you previously completed an order for a Buyer, you can access My Contacts to contact Buyers. My Contacts enables you to keep in touch with Srilance users you have interacted with in the past. Your contact lists display key interactions between you and your contact; the number of completed orders, the amount spent, when the last order was made, and a link to your Inbox conversation.

Building relationships with buyers

When you do an amazing job on an order, you’re not just getting a happy customer and the chance for a good review on your page, you’re also increasing your likelihood of retaining your buyer.

Buyer retention is the simple idea that anyone who buys a service from you once could buy from you again in the future, and you want them to choose you for all of their purchases. Reorders from past buyers make up a high percentage of sellers’ sales, so it’s important to know who your buyers are and how you can increase retention.

Here are a few tips for increasing your buyer retention overall:

 

Over deliver

Of course, the most important part of completing an order is providing a Buyer with the service or product that s/he was expecting at the agreed-upon time.

That said, including small extra details when you deliver your order can go a long way to making customers excited to order from you again. Over delivering is a small and easy way to show your customer that you appreciate their business and that you’re a seller who goes above and beyond the minimum.

 

Be responsive:

Do you know all about why responsiveness is so important? If not, get in the habit of responding to buyers as quickly as possible. Not only will this improve your responsiveness rate, which is good for business, but it will also make your customers feel valued and that will make them more likely to choose you again in the future.

Orders

Can I partially cancel/refund an order?

Orders can not be partially canceled or refunded at this time. Once an order is created and there is a need to partially cancel/refund your Buyer, we recommend that you ask your Buyer to place a new order. Once that new order is created and then marked as complete, you can cancel the original order.

Creating your Freelancer profile

Steps to create the profile.

To fill out your seller profile:

Step 1: Personal Info

  1. Fill out your full name.
  2. Note: This information will remain private.
  3. In the Profile Picture section, add an image of yourself. Make sure you own the picture you upload.

    Note:
    Your profile picture must be 
    an original image of you/ your company logo/ image that represents the service that you provide.
    Your profile picture must not be an image of someone else, a celebrity, or a misrepresentation of your service. GIFs are not acceptable profile images. 

  4. In the Description section, introduce yourself to the Fiverr community.
  5. In the Languages section, select the languages you speak and your level of fluency.
  6. Click Continue.

Step 2: Professional Info

You will be asked to list:

  1. Your Occupation, select your expertise in up to two fields. 
  2. Once selected, you will see skills appear with checkboxes to select them. You need to choose at least two and five tops. 
  3. Skills section, let your buyers know your expertise. These may be skills gained through your previous jobs, hobbies, or even everyday life. You also have the option to suggest skills that are not listed. You can add up to 15 skills. 
  4. Education section, select when and where you attended college. You also have the option to suggest your diploma if it's not listed. Note that suggestions are periodically reviewed, they will not be automatically added. Suggestions will appear as "pending" on your profile.
  5. Certifications section, listing your honors and awards can help you stand out from other sellers. You also have the option to suggest certifications.
  6. Personal Website field, enter your URL.
  7. Click Continue.

Queries

Why was I demoted?

For a Freelancer, either one or all of the following are the cases when they can be demoted from their level:

  • By violating our terms of service
  • By getting too many orders cancelled
  • By getting too many bad reviews
  • By misbehaving with clients

In case of demotion, if you think something went wrong, you can still contact our Support.

Why is my order completion rate incorrect?

Order completion rate can decrease if your cancellations have increased or you haven't been active on Srilance. As long as you remain active and complete your orders on time, your stats will increase.
