Contracts Gone Dormant

Fixed-price contracts with money in escrow and no activity for 90 days will be considered dormant. This prevents money from being held in escrow for too long. To avoid a dormant contract, we recommend keeping a current milestones deadline within 90 days.

Refund

When can I ask for a refund?

You may ask for a refund at any time for any funds that you have paid into your Account other than if the total up to reimburse connects to a Turning point Payment subject to Section 6 or associates with charges or charges payable to us.

What processes are involved in a refund?

If the amount the User has asked to reimburse associates with: (1) a Turning point Payment subject to Area 6, the Disagreement Resolution Process might be followed; or (2) our costs and charges, the process set out in the Provision "Conflicts with Us" must be followed.

If we accept the refund, the funds will be received by the User by means of the exact same payment technique( s) that the User utilized to make the original payment to us.

Taxes

Is there any taxation involved in my earnings?

You are accountable for paying any taxes, including any products and services or worth included taxes, which may be applicable depending upon the jurisdiction of the services offered.

Depending on your residency or location, you might go through specific ad valorem or other taxes (for example, GST in Sri Lanka), on particular charges that we charge. These taxes will be contributed to costs billed to you, if applicable.

You acknowledge that you must adhere to your commitments under earnings tax provisions in your jurisdiction.

Certain Sellers who are either registered or needed to be registered for GST might be required to charge GST to Sri Lankan Consumers on certain projects. You will be notified and asked to validate on award/accept of such tasks the proper GST treatment.

Do I have to pay taxes on income earned on Srilance?

It is the sole responsibility of Sellers to verify their personal tax obligation, report, and pay taxes according to the laws of the state and/or country of residence, as applicable and required by local law and regulations.

Withdrawals

How long does it take to withdraw my earnings?

Your first withdrawal of funds earned may be delayed for as much as fifteen days for security and fraud functions.

Subsequent withdrawals may be postponed for up to fifteen days where our fraud avoidance policies require a hold-up.

Is there any limit for withdrawal?

We might enforce a minimum withdrawal quantity for funds made. This is set out in our schedule of Costs and Charges. The maximum you can withdraw each month is $10,000 unless otherwise specifically agreed with assistance.

What is the eligibility criteria for withdrawal request?

We might require you to be Verified by SriLance before you can withdraw funds from your Freelancer Account, irrespective of whether a hold-up has actually been enforced. For information of how to become Validated by Freelancer please read the Know your Client and Identity Confirmation Policy.

You acknowledge and agree that we might seek to verify your identity or request additional information from you as part of our anti-fraud and Know Your Client policy, as laid out in the section on "Identity/ Know Your Consumer" areas of this agreement.

Can I cancel my withdrawal?

Withdrawals are final and cannot be undone. We will not be able to refund or change this process once it has begun.
